My name is Lucas Pate, and I am an LK artist from Orange County, California.
I got hooked on customizing sneakers after venturing across many different art forms and mediums. I love that I can incorporate almost everything I’ve done into customizing shoes. There’s so much room for creativity, and the canvases are endless. I never feel like I’m doing the same thing over again.
My favorite pair I’ve done to date has to be my Spawn Off-white Air Force Ones. I spent two months on those, working all night almost every night, and I’m pretty proud of the amount of work I put in.
I try to avoid sticking to any certain style or theme, and that’s what I love about this field. It’s like music, I’ve always loved artists who explore different fields and don’t feel forced to create what they think people want. I have new ideas all the time, and I love being able to explore them.
My favorite shoe to work on is always the classic Nike Dunk, but I always love diving into something new.
